The entire time or majority Mr. 3 and buggy are just plotting against luffy but Bon Clay is just like dedicated to helping luffy achieve his goal. With the frustration around the most recent chapter’s cover story, I’m remembering having the same frustration with Bon Clay still being alive somehow. Not only does his “revival” ruin the impact of his sacrifice both on us the readers and the characters, but it also just doesn’t make sense how can he can survive a fist fight leg fight? against Magellan. We were told that Luffy surviving the poisoning he received was literally MIRACULOUS. This was a feat of endurance and resistance that still has merit to the story today - consider Luffy eating poisoned meat in Wano with no problem. Now we’re supposed to believe that Bon Clay has the same resistance and endurance as our protagonist? Even if he survived the actual fight and made it back to level he should’ve died from the poison. If anyone has any other insight as to why this happened - other than Oda or his editors obviously being afraid of killing off characters - let me know! Because if there’s an actual reason WITHIN THE STORY AND NOT FROM THE AUTHOR PLAYING GOD, then I’d love to hear it.

In the anime episode 451, Bon Clay disguises himself as Magellan to help Luffy and the prisoners escape on the Marine ship. Magellan gets very angry when he finds out, and attacks Bon Clay. The episode ends after a few seconds, and the subsequent episodes do not show what happened next. He somehow survived the fight against Magellan, and escaped to the Level Newkamaland, where he has become the new "Queen". Many of the Newkama prisoners who escaped during the Impel Down arc have reoccupied it. The canonical evidence is on the cover page of Chapter 666.
